Dual Enrollment
At Richland One Middle College, our Dual Enrollment program in partnership with Midlands Technical College provides an exceptional opportunity for students to earn both high school and college credits simultaneously on the Beltline Campus. This program is specifically designed to accelerate your academic achievements and give you a significant head start in your college education.
How to Enroll:
1. Eligibility Check: Ensure you meet the GPA requirement of at least 3.0. If your GPA is below this, you will need to take the Accuplacer test.
2. Create an Account: Sign up with Midlands Technical College [here](https://midlandstech.edu).
3. Application Process: Use your new account to apply to Midlands Technical College.
4. Verification of Lawful Presence: Complete the required form to verify your lawful presence in the U.S. after admission.
5. Course Selection: With guidance from our dedicated staff, select courses that align with your future goals.
Costs & Fees:
Multiple Courses: There are no costs for students enrolled in more than one dual enrollment course.
Single Course: A fee of $150 per semester applies for a single course enrollment. Additional expenses may include textbooks and lab materials.
Placement Tests:
Accuplacer: This test is mandatory for students without the requisite GPA and can be taken up to two times at ROMC.
Academic Impact:
LIFE GPA: Grades obtained in dual enrollment courses will count towards your LIFE GPA, affecting eligibility for future scholarships like the LIFE or Palmetto Fellows Scholarship.
